How to get your Logfiles

If you run into problems, save the log files and send them to us. We will show you how to do it!

The way to go

Engine Logiles Main Server

Use the remote feature in the UI to browse on the server to the following location: c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\BM Tools\BM Engine\ 

There you save the following files in a seperate folder on your USB stick:

log-tcp.txt
log.txt
log-layer.txt
config.json

If the engine crashed, you should also find a large crash file of the current date and time in the /Dump/ subfolder. Pack this and make it available to us via cloud!

Engine Logiles Backup Server

Use the same process as for the Main Server:
Use the remote feature in the UI to browse on the server to the following location: c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\BM Tools\BM Engine\

There you save the following files in a seperate folder on your USB stick:

log-tcp.txt
log.txt
log-layer.txt
config.json

If the engine crashed, you should also find a large crash file of the current date and time in the /Dump/ subfolder. Pack this and make it available to us via cloud!

UI / GUI Logfiles

Browse to the following folder on your laptop: c:\programdata\BM Tools\BM Banden Control\

There you save the following files in a seperate folder on your USB stick:

guiReport.txt

Describe exactly your work process.
It only helps us, if the exact process of the error is described precisely.

  • Which Version was used? 
    Was the Version the same on all systems?
  • What was being done to the system or the GUI when the error occurred?
    Write down as precisely as possible what you did before the error occured. 
  • Was the system running on its own or did you press forward?
    When there are bugs related layer or playback issue, write down if you pressed something or did it happen whiles the system was running without external controls at that moment.
  • Can you repeat the error?
    Tell us what we have to do, to get the same error in the test environment.
  • Did you have this error before or was it the first time?
    Tell us how often this error occured.
  • Do you have a guess?
    If you have a theory what could cause this error, write us this also, but please marked. Conjecture and knowledge are two different things.

Pack files as ZIP 
and then send them by email to info@ledbc.de

    or/and CC to the known E-Mail adresses from Jonas and Benni
